About Dr. Liu

Dr. Howard Liu began his journey in dentistry with a Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology from the University of Utah, followed by earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University in New York City. He then completed a general practice residency at the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston, where he gained advanced experience in all areas of patient care.

After several years practicing general dentistry in northern Texas and the Bay Area, Dr. Liu decided to pursue his passion for endodontics—the art and science of saving teeth.  He returned to school for another two years in a full time endodontics residency at University of Southern California.  Even with the educational credentials under his belt as an endodontist, he voluntarily went through a rigorous examination process including written, oral and and clinical case reviews.  Dr. Liu was awarded to become a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, a highly regarded distinction among dental professionals.

Dr. Liu is dedicated to providing his patients with the most comfortable and effective care possible. He stays current with the latest dental technology and research through ongoing continuing education.

When he’s not in the office, you’ll often find Dr. Liu spending time with his family or exploring the beautiful regional parks around the Bay Area.
